If I could travel back in time to the winter playground of my youth, alone with my crystalized tears and my snowflake thoughts and my too-tight coat that failed to keep me zipped up against your icicle jabs,
I would not change that moment.
I took your icicles and hung them from my tree. Turned my crystalized tears into a strand of twinkling lights. Made a star of my snowflake thoughts and gently placed it on top.
Then I wrapped my tree in garland cut from my too-tight coat. The worn-out metal zipper refracted rainbow light from my strand of crystalized tears. And I stood back and looked at all the parts of me that before I was ashamed to see.
I sparkled.
Lovely Lib..the pictures in my head are gorgeously sweet 🥰💕
