New month, new project!
Nothing like a February snowstorm in Chicago to inspire me to bust out the brushes and paint and knock out a quick restoration project. I rescued this beautifully promising half moon table from a neighborhood yard sale last summer, and at $5.00 I just couldn’t leave her behind.
I initially painted her with Annie Sloan™ Chalk Paint in Duck Egg Blue and she lived like this for a while. The blue just didn’t quite go with the decor in our place so I used my snowbound weekend to spice her up a bit and work on my distressing skills.
I laid a coat of Americana Decor® Chalk Paint in Relic on top of the Duck Egg, hoping that the two colors would play beautifully with each other during the distressing phase. A little sanding in just the right places, a coat of Annie Sloan™ Soft Wax in Clear and voila!
Being in a state of distress never felt so good.

This is so pretty! I love everything about it, but am especially crazy for the spindle-y legs!
